Before carrying out any work the team will have a pre-inspection of the roof to check for any damage that could effect the clean. This will include broken tiles and the condition of the re-pointing on the ridge tiles.
We will now carry out the main focus of the job of cleaning the roof! Roof cleaning can take 1-3 days to complete depending on the size of the roof however we will keep you informed at this stage on how we get on.
Now the main clean is completed we will remove all moss and other debris that has fallen from your roof into the gutters to ensure maximum flow and drainage of the guttering system.
Once we have completed the gutter empty we will move onto the biocide treatment, this is one of the most important steps to a roof clean as any missed moss and debris this will remove it with weathering.
At KTO we understand roof cleaning is a messy job and we like to leave your property cleaner then when we first arrived. We will clean your gutter and fascias as well as clean your windows to prevent hard water marks from the clean.
Please reach us at ktoexteriorcleaning@gmail.com if you cannot find an answer to your question.
The duration of a roof clean is typically 1-3 days depending on many factors such as the size of the roof, the severity of debris and the condition of the roof itself.
No! A lot of companies will use high pressure to clean a roof however we use a specialised machine built for its purpose of cleaning roofs. The machine can both low pressure clean and steam clean allowing us to use minimal pressure on your roof.
Moss is a form of biological growth it will always attempt to grow however there are ways from stopping this from occurring. We offer a biocide maintenance plan. Depending on the area you live in will depend on how often we retreat the area. If you live in a damp woodland area we advice a yearly treatment.
